OUR STANDING

The college was accredited with B++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore in recognition of the high quality of education and service provided by the College. The re-accreditation process is underway.

The college has also been awarded the status of “College with Potential for Excellence” by the UGC in 2010.

The college is one of the leading and premier institutes affiliated to R. T. M. Nagpur University, Nagpur.

 

OUR MISSION AND VISION

Our mission is implicit in our logo, which includes the Sanskrit inscription “Prajvalito Jnanamaya Pradipah”, “Let us light the lamp of knowledge”. The logo symbolically expresses our mission to be the torchbearer of knowledge for the community, and to provide equitable access to education to all. We envision ourselves as playing the role of a humanistic, relevant and nation-building agent.

  • To impart value-based education in order to inculcate humanistic values.
  • To provide equal educational opportunities to all sectors of the society irrespective of caste, creed, religion and economic or any other status.
  • To provide access to contextually relevant educational programmes and training in order to produce well-trained and highly skilled professionals in various fields.
  • To provide exposure to learners to the latest advances in all the relevant branches of knowledge in order to keep them abreast of the time.
  • To provide opportunities for all-round personality development of the students, and tapping their individual potential
  • To inculcate a sense of civic responsibility, social commitment and moral accountability among the students

THE GONDIA EDUCATION SOCIETY

Acutely aware of the power of knowledge to leads one to a successful and happy life,Late Manoharbhai Patel vowed to bring the rivers of knowledge to the people of Bhandara District. When he chose to embark on this mission, Bhandara district was lagging far behind the other regions of Maharashtra in education. With the advice and cooperation of other like-minded people in the region The Gondia Education Societywas founded in 1958 which set up its first degree college - NMD Arts & Commerce College - at Gondia. In a brief span of fifty years, the society has been able to establish a network of 17 degree colleges, 12 Junior Colleges and 12 high schools. The Gondia Education Society is contributing enormously to the field of education and thus rendering a yeoman's service to the society in general under the able leadership of Hon. Shri. Praful Patel, Union Cabinet Minister, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Govt. of India.
